2011 Design House

I've been referencing this for some time now, so this announcement will be no surprise.  I am still so excited to be a part of this project!  Embellish Interiors is participating in the 2011 Shelter for Help in Emergency Design House.  The Shelter for Help in Emergency provides refuge and resources for victims of domestic violence.  Last year was the first year for the fundraising event where local designers create and implement their designs in rooms of a house and tickets for tours are sold to view the house.  The theme for the project is "home" and the sense of comfort and refuge that it should evoke.  It is heartbreaking to imagine being denied that haven for the individuals the shelter serves.

The event runs from May 7 - 22 and the house is open from 10 - 4.  The house is closed for private viewings on Tuesdays during that time.  This year's home is a gorgeous manor in Crozet, Virginia at Mint Springs Farm, 1687 Mint Springs Road.  I hope you can find time in the month of May to view some amazing design work and contribute to a worthy cause.
 Hope to see you there!

  1. I am sure the whole house will be amazing, but I especially know your room will knock the socks off of everyone!
