Wall Sconce Headboard

Just wanted to share a project we just completed in a spare bedroom re-do.  The room is still a work in progress, but the new headboard panels are up and I think they look great!

I started with frames purchased at Michael's, primed and painted them in a fabulous plum shade.  Using the backs of the frames, I covered them in batting and fabric.  

Here's a close-up of the cool paint color:

Drilling through the backs of the frames, the sconces were added directly onto the frame.  They'll serve as a headboard, lighting and art all in one!

 I can't wait to reveal the finished space!

We are inching away at getting the room completed!  Here's a quick peek at the gorgeous fireplace revamp:

We started with a builder's typical traditional white mantel with dental moulding.  Getting rid of the mantel entirely, we added some contemporary sophistication with these spectacular metallic tiles.

The room's going to be a show stopper!  Can't wait to reveal it finished!

Works in Progress: Red Spare Bedroom
