Striped Cotton Happiness!
I've fallen in love with Dash and Albert cotton striped rugs. They're colorful, practical and inexpensive -- right up my alley!

Sugar and Spice.....
This makeover happened a while ago.....I can't believe the little girl who we did this room for just turned 5!! We were given the task of turning this empty space into a big girl's room so her new sister could take over the nursery.
Now, it's a perfect spot for all that little girls are made of:
The pages of a popular learn to read book make an adorable art display hung from grosgrain ribbon and glass drawer pulls.
A sweet reading corner with a comfy child-sized polka dot chaise to match the trim on the drapes.
Wallwords decals are a feature above the wrought iron bed tied up in bows.
A sweet spot for a sweet little girl!

Small and Chic Home
Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Jeannine of Small and Chic in Cville and photographer Chris Scott to do an interview and photo session featuring the designers of the 2011 SHE Design House. I am excited to share Jeannine's blog post about it here: http://www.smallchichome.com/2011/02/charlottesville-design-house-designer.html .
Jeannine's as sweet as she is stylish and you can see Chris' artistic eye in his photos.
What a great start to such a fun and worthwhile endeavor.

New Den
This den was a nice space to start with, but needed pulling together.
We recovered the red chair in a sophisticated houndstooth chenille, added a soft leather sofa, striped drapes and recovered an ottoman (from elsewhere in the home) in a fabulous leopard print.
Before, this room was mismatched.
New soft green-blue paint and soft furnishings give it harmony.
Have a space that needs finishing? I'd love to help!

Warming up......
This beautiful home just needed some warmth and pulling together.
We added some color to the fireplace with warm copper tone and taller accents to fill the space above the mantle. The bookshelves got rearranged and family photos fill the hallway wall.
A sofa from the basement and paisley print chairs are comfortable places to lounge. Subtle aqua blue accents are used throughout the room.
Before, the beautiful windows were bare.
Now, new copper colored damask drapes warm them up and make them a feature.
It's amazing what a little change can do!

Fabulous Fabric Effects
This new addition is a great new space. We added some color and personality with the use of soft furnishings to finish it.
A casual fabric in an apple green and turquoise print fills in the blank walls and a soft throw and striped rug create warmth.
Matching throw pillows add softness and light to the heavy dark leather and tie the color scheme together.

This adorable sunroom also got some TLC.
